Ryeland Wool Doppler Stripe Calico Indian Black Dye Tender Type 434 Buggy Back Shirt
Description
Handmade in England, this Type 434 Buggy Back Shirt from Tender has been dyed using indian black ink to create a Ryeland wool doppler stripe pattern. Inspired by traditional British tailoring, this shirt features an unusual construction technique that means there are no side seams and instead the front continues to cross over at the back and neatly tuck into the arm holes. The collar has a mandarin shape which sits above a line of olive wood buttons, slim cuffs have single button fastenings and small pleats. Two square waist pockets have been added to the front helping you to carry belongings whilst on the go. This shirt looks fantastic fully buttoned up or worn over a t-shirt as a lightweight jacket.
Indian black ink is created by naturally occuring iron oxide, and results in a unique finish that can’t always be controlled. It wears nicely over time and gives a unique and characteristic look that depends on how the garment is being worn. Combined with shrunken cotton seam thread, this shirt has an extraordinary crafted aesthetic.
