Nike Air Presto Shoes in Black and White. Reimagined in a two-tone colourway, the Nike Air Presto Shoes have a sleek, comfort-focused design crafted from a combination of synthetic materials that give the sporty-silhouette a feel good, fast-looking aesthetic. Adding durability in key abrasion areas, TPU detailing on the toe tip adds shine whilst a TPU cage around the midfoot adds a 3D element that securely holds the lace fastening in place. Embroidered Swoosh tick emblems add subtle branding to the forefoot against a stretchy synthetic fabric that covers the uppers, and above the lace fastening works to hold the foot in place with the help of a highly padded tongue, complete with a decorative disc emblem positioned below its top edge. Wrapping around the back of the heel for increased protection, further branding can be seen on the sides of the midfoot cage, including additional Swoosh tick emblems and stylised ‘Presto’ lettering. On the back of the shoe a woven loop pull tab that assists with entry sits above a translucent effect Nike Air logo and throughout the inside of the shoe lasting comfort has been provided through Nike Air cushioning. Additionally, five dots within the foam midsole have been added in reference to the innovation-focused Nike Alpha Project and completing the design whilst assisting in the natural motion of the foot, flex grooves have been placed within the sole.

After years of development during the 1990’s, the Nike Air Presto was officially introduced in 2000 after the combined insight from legendary footwear designers Tobie Hatfield, Kevin Hoffer and Bob Mervar created a new colour block shoe model. Details such as an improved collar that would not collapse combined with a comfortable slipper-like fit have led to the Nike Air Presto being known for a v-notch detail inspired by clothing which was later labelled as the ‘t-shirt sizing’ system. Modern day variations remain true to the impressive selection of original features whilst new colour combination experiments present a fresh look.
