Description
Constructed from unfinished cotton molleton which has been iron rust dyed, this heavyweight Type 456 Janus Shirt from Tender has been designed and made in England using the utmost attention to detail. The front is fastened by small custom made stamped, solid copper buttons which have a curved, smooth surface and the collar neckline has been cut to stand upright or can be folded over to a more traditional pointed design. A woven Tender label has been sewn onto the inner nape. Two large patch pockets have been sewn onto the chest with bartacked corners and are divided with stitching across the centre which creates a lower hand-warmer compartment and an upper storage pocket. The body and sleeves have been cut straight without a cuff. Please be aware that due to the dye technique used for this style the colour may run.
Based in Stroud, UK Tender draws inspiration from antique workwear and the British age of steam to create unique clothing and accessories crafted using unusual pattern cutting techniques, historical dyes and creative fabrics. For AW19 founder William Kroll has studied iron rust and viridian dying techniques to enhance knitwear and heavyweight cotton jackets that are destined to be worn but also treasured for their individual qualities.
